It was the year 2021 a small group of people whose roots are from the West Indies came together under the philosophical thought of: Nelson Mandela who stated: “A fundamental concern for others in our individual and community lives would go a long way in making the world the better place we so passionately dreamt of.” This group decide that this dream must become a reality, under the leadership of Mr. & Mrs. Warren White the Greater Las Vegas West Indies American Association was birth.
The Greater Las Vegas West Indies American Association, Inc. in a Non-profit organization granted its 501 © (3) status, with a vision to enhance the lifestyle of their members and community at large. It is the mission of (GLVWIAA) to bring educational excellence, cultural development and social activities to the Greater Las Vegas Communities. I hope you will join our team as we Connect, Activate, Educate, and Exhilarate, by “Doing your little bit of good where you are; it is those little bits of good put together that overwhelm the world.”

As an organization representing more than 30 West Indian Islands of descent residing in the Greater Las Vegas and surrounding areas. we are committed to serving, supporting, and providing the necessary resources to help improve the standard of living for the local diaspora, who contribute to the fabric of our Greater Las Vegas community. We will provide workshops, mentorship, and scholarships and we work with our community partners/leaders to provide financial literacy resources, healthcare options, family and educational resources, employment assistance, immigration support, and much more. We have become a family that work together, play, and serve together.

Our mission is to promote the cultural, civic, educational, and recreational activities deriving from the Caribbean experience. In addition, we aim to Collaborate, encourage and celebrate academic achievements through scholarship and mentoring programs.

A united voice for the diaspora communities of West Indies, descent living in the Greater Las Vegas and surrounding areas. Our goal is to reach every single person whose roots is from the West Indies and those living within our local communities who have a common interest in the West Indies as well.
